About us

Our mission

Eco Collaborative was created with the aim of bringing zero waste sustainable choices to a wider audience in the Lancaster and Morecambe area by providing knowledge, affordability and accessibility.

Our story

Hettie and Liz, the co-owners of Eco Collaborative, are passionate about the environment and have been on their own journeys to reduce waste and make their personal lives have a positive environmental impact. Through these journeys they have gained a lot of knowledge and insight into what works and what doesn’t, and wanted to share that. Each run their own craft businesses, Hettie Amelia Design and Reincarnated Crafts, but were looking to expand into products promoting and supporting sustainability. When they met in 2021 it was a match made in eco heaven, instantly becoming fast friends and talking of starting a joint venture from the day they met.

Our ethics

Our product range is carefully curated and researched so that we are providing products that we believe best fill ours and our customers needs, that are affordable to all

We aim to use only UK brands as suppliers and to support local independent makers wherever possible. Some of our product range from these suppliers may not have been made in the UK, this is when a UK equivalent is not available to us.

We try to keep our carbon footprint as small as possible, both in how we source our products and our own operations, travelling to events by electric car, deliveries made on foot, by bike and electric car. Using renewable energy sources as our power suppliers.

You won’t find any single use plastic in our range, with the exception of some of our cards which have been wrapped in biodegradable pouches made from plant based plastic to protect them by their creators, though we are encouraging them to move to washi tape or paper bands to hold their envelopes on instead.
